inspire me.
So I dug through my whole craft room and pulled out everything I have that is even close to baby or girly since both of these journals are for girls. This is typically how I start coming up with the concept part of a custom journal. When I got done, I was surprised at how much stuff I had. I decided to go more girly than baby.
The flower is made from dryer sheets and the butterflies are painted the same color as the Mommy and Me sign. I added some glitter and pearlizing paint over the top to make them stand out. The butterfly punches are all Martha Stewart. She has great punches and I particularly like her butterfly ones.
I put a couple silver charms on the ribbon. One is a bow and the other is a diaper pin.
The BABY is Sizzlit dies and I just cut the banner pieces by hand to fit.
The three flowers are again made from dryer sheets. I added a small flower to the top of the teddy bear head to make it a little more girly.
All of the banner, swirls and teddy bears are glued down and sealed with Mod Podge to protect it.
The binding on both of the journals is made from wall paper. Yup, wall paper. It's free and strong. They both have ribbon closures and ribbon book marks.
I am also going to start blogging about my 365 day journal project and share. Since I am a "little" behind on it, it will be later this week.
Till then, happy scrapin. Feel free to leave comments, ideas and links to your projects. I'd love to see them. Especially if they are baby themed, post away. I need ideas and inspiration to get going on my youngest's scrapbook.
