Well I do and if you do too, this is the craft for you. It's easy, fun, simple and very budget friendly.
- hot glue
- punches or scissors
- cardstock
- rubber stamps (background stamps)
- pigment ink
- craft paint
Next, you need to pick out a red rubber back ground stamps and give it a heavy coat of pigment ink.
Now take your hot glue gun and completely cover your cardstock shape. Start with the edges and work your way in. Be sure to overlap a little off of the edges. Don't worry, you will trim this part off later. You should be doing this on a non stick surface so that the hot glue doesn't stick.
Now here's the hard part....do not, I repeat, do not pick up the stamp. Leave it sit there until the glue is dry. If you don't, you will have a hot mess. You'll be sitting on the couch watchin TV for hours picking hot glue out of your stamps.
I know this is hard to do, trust me. I have made these several time, made the mistake several times and still did it this time AGAIN! I need to listen to my own advise.
Here's what it looks like if you wait and pick it up after the glue is actually completely dried.
I know I have used different colors of ink in the pictures and those butterflies look super cute, but I only did it so the shapes would show up better in the pictures. I normally just use black or whatever color is on top of the pile. Pigment ink will not dry permanently on the hot glue.
